Popopstudios artists were well represented at the D’Aguilar Art Foundation on Thursday during the Absolut Art Ambition exhibition which showcased the creativity of about a dozen local artists.

Jan Elliot, Katrina Cartwright, Dede Brown, Duke Wells and Ana-Lisa Wells each contributed works of art to the show, which was curated by former Popop resident Alistair Stevenson.

Also exhibiting was former Popop artist John Paul and former interns Christina Darville and Cydne Coleby.

Congratulations to popular artist Dede Brown who captured the crowd pleaser vote with her piece “Absolut Party”.

The Absolut-inspired artworks ranged from paintings, installations and mixed media, ceramics and textile art to fine art photography with some very interesting ‘Absolut’ concepts.

As stated on the D’Aguilar Foundation’s Facebook page: “All of the artists were winners… as the work they produced was phenomenal, memorable and without a doubt ‘Absolut-ly’ creative!”
