PopopStudios welcomes Bettina Furnee, our newest international artist in residence. Bettina is expected to arrive on Friday, April 1, 2011.

Bettina Furnee (born in The Hague, Netherlands) has worked independently in England since 1989, developing a site specific and socially engaged art practice.

Trained as a lettercutter, public artist and art historian, Bettina Furnée’s work developed through private and public commissions towards a contemporary art practice, which is rooted in notions of site and uses text, sculptural form and light.
