About Our Art Auction

Since its creation by artist John Cox nearly twenty years ago, Popopstudios has played an integral role in the Bahamian Arts community.

Our International Residency Programme has hosted artists from around the world. Our Popop Junior Residency Programme has acted as an incubator for some of The Bahamas’ most inspiring emerging artists.

We’ve had exhibitions, workshops, art classes, panel discussions and other events that have helped nurture the arts community. Plus, we provide affordable studio space for 10-12 very talented, community-minded artists, and have among our alumni a long list of Bahamian artists who have made a profound impact on the Bahamian arts scene, including many artists whose work is featured in this first Annual Online Art Auction.

All of this has, in large part, been made possible by the generous donations and avid support of many artists, art collectors, art lovers and contributors.

We hope you will browse this online collection of art and help us find good homes for the many wonderful art works we have for you to bid on.
