About 40 teenage girls filled Popopstudios with laughter and happy chatter on the warm sunny Saturday afternoon of April 16th.

They were here for the School of Doodle – a 4-hour workshop to empower young women. During the event, there was a performance by Bodine; a talk and slide show presentation by Jodie Minnis; a motivational speech by the solar-powered Erin Brown; a panel of creatives discussing art in the community and a film presentation at the end.

Throughout the afternoon the girls munched on brightly coloured, candy-flavoured popcorn, danced in the garden and worked on their face collages. Everyone who participated has the chance to be the face of Doodle’s ad campaign in the September issue of Dazed magazine.

These girls created, connected and kicked butt!
