At any skill level, making art reduces stress.

Initially it was thought that people with prior art experience reaped more stress-reducing benefits when creating art, but a new study at Drexel University shows that that is not the case!

Whether you’re a complete novice or a master painter, we all see a significant reduction in Cortisol (stress-related hormone) after just 45-minutes of an art class.

Participants in the study reflected on their experience saying. “It was very relaxing,” one wrote. “After about five minutes, I felt less anxious. I was able to obsess less about things that I had not done or need[ed] to get done. Doing art allowed me to put things into perspective.”

So kick back with us on Wednesdays and enjoy The Art of Drawing: Figure Drawing Class with John Cox @ 6:30pm, starting in November.

Participants are asked to bring drawing materials/utensils of their choice.

4 Class Packages:
Members – $160
Non-Members – $240

Wine accompanies each session.
