Popopstudios Yard Clean Up Day
Very early this Sunday morning, the Popopstudios artists came together and (energized by coffee and donuts) cleaned up the Popop yard – with a little help from friends.

From the more realistic depictions of the human face by Max Taylor, Dede Brown and Matthew Wildgoose, to the fantastical imaginings of Stan Burnside, Jackson Petit and Dylan Rapillard, to the most abstract constructions by Kendal Hanna, Brent Malone and Joanne Behagg, and even artists from the U.S., Jamaica, Haiti, Africa and Canada, including renowned African- American artist and writer Romare Bearden, “Fix Ya Face!” provides a rich offering of artwork that both celebrates and subverts the universal human attribute.

Governor General Applauds The Bahamian Project
Governor General Sir Arthur Foulkes sat down this week with a small group of people involved in a very ambitious project — to create, exhibit and make available to the wider world the faces that make up the soul and spirit of the Bahamian people.

Bahamian Artists and Scholar Featured In ARC 6
“The 6th volume of ARC Magazine brings together a mélange of artists, scholars and writers in collaboration exploring and experimenting with formal and preconceived elements of beauty, alchemy, aesthetics, nationhood, independence and burdens of representations,” according to ARC editor-in-chief Holly Bynoe.
Several Bahamian artists are featured in the latest issue of the Caribbean contemporary art publication ARC Magazine.
