Popop’s current artist-in-residence, Marinah Janello has been working on a new experimental video project – Veils of Sustenance.

Marinah says:

Veils of Sustenance is just a piece of what I brought back with me from a trip to Simms, Long Island on a quest to discover more family.

This film takes the viewer on a non­traditional journey through the daily life of Mario Simms, my eldest cousin, and the head Chef at Blue Chip Restaurant and Bar.

This is just the beginning of my family film series, and there will be more to come as I connect with a new found cousin in Nassau on a family tree project.”
