Photography Project To Capture The Spirit Of The Bahamian People
Capturing the true essence of the Bahamian spirit is one of the many ambitious goals behind a captivating new arts initiative that seeks to help preserve the character and legacy of the country’s most precious resource – its people.
The subjects of the project will include Bahamians and members of the community from all walks of life and islands.

The Bahamian Project
The National Art Gallery of the Bahamas and Popopstudios have collaborated with Popop-based photographer Duke Wells to create The Bahamian Project. This three-year working initiative will yield a collection of high-quality, black-and-white fine art portraits that will document and explore the positive spirit of Bahamian people from a humanistic point-of-view.
Artists Work With Kids To Create Diabetes Awareness Mural
Two local organisations joined forces last Saturday to raise awareness about diabetes and work with children affected by the disease.
Awareness, Compassion and Education (ACE) Diabetes and the Diabetic Research Institute (DRI), brought artists and children together at Popopstudios to assist in painting a mural that will be installed Downtown for World Diabetes Day on November 14.
