Sonia Farmer and her one-man film crew were at Popopstudios on Wednesday afternoon filming part of a feature on the upcoming Transforming Spaces Tour. The annual tour is set for next weekend Saturday, March 24 and Sunday March 25.

The tour begins at the National Art Gallery of the Bahamas (NAGB) where buses will leave at 10:00 a.m. sharp on an art excursion that encompasses eight gallery spaces and many participating artists. It is one of the most popular events of the year.

Tickets are only $30 and are available at the NAGB and Doongalik Art Gallery on Village Road. The tour always sells out so get your tickets now.

Meanwhile, for a better idea of what will be happening for Transforming Spaces this year catch Sonia’s feature on Sunday on channel 12 (part of NB12) between 7:00 to 7:30 p.m. By the way, it’s her last week doing television features but no worries, you can still find her in the Arts and Culture section of the Nassau Guardian every Saturday.

Several of the artists within the Popopstudios art community have created artwork for the Transforming Spaces “Fibre” theme this year. Here are some progress photos as they brought their concepts to life.
