Artist Jace McKinney: A little over a year ago, I had a conversation with a teacher from the Government High School who shared with me the story of a young man who was a victim of gang violence. On Sunday, May 20th 2012, from 2 – 4pm, The Hub in Nassau is hosting a selection from the work of Grand Bahama artist, Susan Moir Mackay.
Mackay’s themes look beyond the surface of our lives, into deeper truths… Her pieces give life to thoughts regarding society, women, healing, love and pain, and oftentimes the viewer’s habitual perspective is challenged.
