Scrapbook Binding Party – Photos

Poinciana Paper Press held a fun and totally free workshop on Saturday, March 17 at Popopstudios between 3-6 p.m. The workshop was led by Sonia Farmer.

Participants learned the elegant Japanese stab binding and then made a beautiful one-of-a-kind notebook to take home with them.

Transforming Spaces Feature On Channel 12 This Sunday

Sonia Farmer and her one-man film crew were at Popopstudios on Wednesday afternoon filming part of a feature on the upcoming Transforming Spaces Tour. This feature will air Sunday on channel 12 (part of NB12) between 7:00 to 7:30 p.m.

The annual tour is set for next weekend Saturday, March 24 and Sunday March 25. Get your tickets now – only $30 – and they sell out every year!

Cheap & Clean – Interrogating Masculinities

This project, developed by the artist Ebony G. Patterson, seeks to investigate the performative association of gender through explorations of the masculine as it relates to popular Jamaican dancehall culture. The project relates to an ongoing body of work that has utilized the performative, as mode for explorations of masculine ideologies that function within dancehall construct.
