Fine Art Photographer Duke Wells has resigned as Executive Director of Popopstudios, effective September 1, 2016.
Interview by KEISHA OLIVER for the Nassau Guardian
I had the pleasure of visiting emerging Bahamian artist Dominique Knowles as he settled into his new space at Popopstudios International Center for the Visual Arts.
Journeys are fundamental aspects of life and growth within human souls. Upon arriving to Caribbean Linked IV on August 1st, 2016, I was filled with emotion and excitement. I had never ventured past my homeland or the U.S. in terms of travel.
CaribbeanLinked IV writer-in-residence David Knight Jr. shares his thoughts on Bahamian artist Nowé H. Harris-Smith, who recently took part in this year’s programme at Ateliers ’89 in Aruba, where her work can still be seen in the ongoing final exhibition.

John Cox has helped define the contemporary Bahamian art scene locally through his work and the creation of Popopstudios International Center for the Visual Arts. He has been an important figure in the lives of many up-and-coming Bahamian artists.
