After its well received five-month inaugural exhibition ‘Bahama Mama’, an amalgamation of visual and literary works from twenty-five talented Bahamian female artists and writers, PTAP will be returning this May with an exciting new exhibition, ‘Nurturing Brotherhood’. PTAP aims to build upon its reputation for empowering aspiring artists by allowing art students to take center stage of the creative arts industry.

Future Of Art
Four emerging artists at The College of The Bahamas are preparing to embark on what may become pivotal moments in their lives – a summer-long residency at Popopstudios International Center for the Visual Arts.
Veronica Dorsett, Yutavia George, and Steven Schmid are the latest recipients of the Popop Junior Residency Prizes sponsored by Popopstudios ICVA and The D’Aguilar Art Foundation. Also, Christina Darville has been selected for the 2012 Antonius Roberts Award which will be enabled through Popopstudios.

Fillip and PAARC are pleased to present Institutions by Artists, an international conference that aims to evaluate the performance and promise of contemporary artist-run centres and initiatives. The three day event will include over 50 speakers from 19 countries.

The students of Art 360: An exhibition of selected works created this past semester. At the beginning of the year Art 360 students were given three challenges. The result is a surprising mixture of visuals and creative disciplines (including photography, sculpture and installation) that effectively challenge drawing as a medium and redefine it as a tool for expression.
