The First International Reggae Poster Contest 2012 is open for entries for our 2012 edition, The Reggae Poster Contest 2012 from December 26 2011 until March 30 2012. Open to all graphic designers and artists internationally.

Twelve Bahamian amateur artists are finally getting their chance to shine: The National Art Gallery of The Bahamas is preparing to host their one-night- only spotlight honoring the creative visions of non- established or non-professional artists in society with their All-Star Amateur Artist Night at the gallery grounds this Friday, January 20.

Antonius Roberts has signed on with Baha Mar to hire, train and mentor 12 aspiring craftsmen with the goal of creating benches out of wood discarded from the Baha Mar site.

In commemoration of the second anniversary of the Haitian Earthquake, the D’Aguilar Art Foundation presents a new exhibition – “Poto Mitan” – by Haitian-Bahamian artist Chantal Bethel. The exhibition opens to the public on Tuesday, January 17, 2012

The films shown are all independent films or documentaries that aren’t ever likely to be seen in the movie theater. The first movie night complemented the Kendal Hanna Retrospective Exhibition, “Happy Birthday to Me” which is now being featured at the art gallery.
