Nassau, Bahamas – On December 10th at Sapodilla Restaurant, the Charitable Arts Foundation hosted a gorgeous night under the stars to bring in the festive season and raise thousands of dollars to support arts in The Bahamas, with a special allocation to Hurricane Matthew relief fund.
Our beloved Setella Cox passed away on December 8th, 2016 after a brief illness.
The work of Bahamian artist Dominique Knowles is currently being showcased in “Neo Global: A House for Mr. Biswas” – a curated snapshot of art, film, fashion and design within the contemporary Caribbean community in Miami presented by _space caribbean.

The Pro-Gallery at the University of The Bahamas will soon play host to an exhibition of work by emerging artist Jodi Minnis, on the eve of her temporary departure from The Bahamas in pursuit of higher education.

Bahamian artist and curator of The D’Aguilar Art Foundation (DAF), Tessa Whitehead, has been practicing and exhibiting as an artist since completing her MFA at The Slade School of Fine Art in 2009. Whitehead recently shared her views on ditching the starving artist status quo by building a more constructive reality through her evolving curatorial practice.
